Recoleta and Retreat Walking Tour with Historian Souvenir and Light Lunch
Walking tour of Recoleta and Retiro with a historian in Spanish or English: Avenida Alvear, Calle Arroyo and Plaza San Martín, ending with empanadas, a drink and a design souvenir.
Walk the most elegant side of Buenos Aires with an accredited historian who reveals, in Spanish or English, the secrets of its palaces, domes and stained glass, from Café La Biela to Plaza San Martín.
Stroll along Avenida Alvear and its Belle Époque palaces, such as the Palacio Ortiz Basualdo, the Alvear Palace and the Palacio Pereda, with stops for photos and architectural details.
Continue along Calle Arroyo, with art galleries, embassies and art deco stained glass, to Plaza San Martín: the Palacio Paz, the Palacio San Martín, the Malvinas Cenotaph and the Kavanagh Building.
You finish at our boutique office with a light lunch of two artisan empanadas and a drink of your choice (glass of wine, beer, soft drink or water), plus a design souvenir inspired by the city's architecture.
The meeting point is in front of Café La Biela (Av. Quintana 600, Recoleta); transfers are not included. Buildings are visited from the outside.
