  • ℹ️ Important information before booking
  • We want your experience in the Imperial City to be unique and without unforeseen events. Before confirming your reservation, keep the following in mind:
  • 🏔️ Altitude and Acclimation

— Cusco is located at 3,399 meters above sea level. To avoid altitude sickness, it is vital that the first few days you rest, eat light (avoid fish and heavy meat) and take advantage of the welcome mate de coca.

  • 📉 Levels of Requirement

— The itinerary is suitable for everyone, but trekking days (Day 4 and 6) are difficult, reaching 5,200 meters above sea level. Assess your physical condition for these routes.

  • 📅 Early Bookings

— Tickets to the citadel are limited and sell out quickly. We recommend buying your tickets 60 days in advance. If you book 90 days in advance, the best circuits can be managed automatically.

  • 🛂 Required Documentation

— It is essential to carry your passport or original identity document at all times. This is required to board the train and to enter the Machu Picchu citadel.

  • ⛰️ Reservation of places to Huaynapicchu

— If you want to visit Huaynapicchu Mountain, remember that only 60 people are allowed per schedule. Check with your advisor for availability as spaces are limited and must be booked well in advance.

  • 🏛️ Machu Picchu circuits

— The citadel has defined routes; the classic circuit requires approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of walking. Please note that there is no free cancellation once tickets have been issued.

  • 📈 Seasons and Affluence

— The high season runs from April to October. November to January is the mid-season, with greener landscapes but higher humidity. Machu Picchu receives up to 5,000 visitors per day.

  • 👟 Clothing and Equipment

— The climate is variable and can be cold. It is recommended to dress in layers, wear sturdy footwear or trekking boots, and always wear waterproof clothing.

  • ☀️ Sun Protection

— The radiation is strong in the Andes. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for all excursions.

  • 💰 Local Currency

— It is recommended to carry extra money in soles for snacks, tips and other purchases at local markets.

  • 📱 Communication and Schedules

— Departure times are variable. We recommend that you review your itinerary in detail and consult your assigned guide, who will confirm the exact pick-up time the night before.
