Huyliche Hill in a 4x4 with lunch and viewpoints from El Calafate

3 hours

Easy

Climb Huyliche Hill in a 4x4 and discover unique views of Lake Argentino, Fitz Roy and the Cordillera. An accessible adventure with epic viewpoints and Patagonian lunch included.

🌄 Cerro Huyliche Experience: I went up in a 4x4. Go down as you like. Experience the mountains your way.

  • From El Calafate, in minutes, you start climbing the Huyliche Cordon. Guanacos, condors, marine fossils and epic views await you as you gain height in a powerful 4WD.
  • At more than 1,100 meters above sea level, you see a different world:
🔹 Lake Argentino in all its immensity.
🔹 The Fitz Roy and Torre hills on the horizon.
🔹 And if there are clouds in the valley... better. You're going to be above them.
  • The ascent includes key stops at natural viewpoints, ancient fossils and geological formations such as Laberinto de las Piedras, shaped by wind and time.
  • Later, in the historic center of the Huyliche Ranch (active since 1920), a well-deserved rest awaits you: lunch, snack or homemade dinner with a Patagonian flavor.
  • 💡And now, choose how you want to download:
    — 🔁 In a 4x4 if you are looking for comfort with scenery.
    — 🐎 Straddling viewpoints and steppe.
    — 🚶‍♂️ Guided hiking on mountain trails.
    — 🌄 On a zipline, flying over the valley like a condor.
    — 🛞 On a quadricycle, for those who want adrenaline and dust on their faces.
